This is the cheapest home in the Hamptons: ‘It’s proof that affordable Hamptons living is still possible’
You can land a two-bedroom home in the village of Westhampton Beach for less than $200,000 — if you don’t mind living in a single-wide.
This humble home, located in Suffolk Pines Mobile Home Park, possesses a vintage flair spread across 700 square feet. Warm wood paneling covers the interiors and the fixtures look unchanged since the home arrived in 1999. At just $185,000, it’s also what the OutEast listings portal shows as the least expensive home for sale in the region — which has long been known as the summer playground for the wealthy and otherwise famous.
“It’s proof that affordable Hamptons living is still possible,” Douglas Elliman agent Viviana Smith told The Post in a statement. Smith holds the listing alongside Elliman agent Richard Connelly.
The prefab interiors include a kitchen, a living room, two bedrooms and one bathroom. The home is in clear need of TLC, with an outdated color palette, yellowing blinds and a beige carpet that’s seen better days.
This trailer is just a one-hour drive away from Montauk Shores, a no-frills waterfront trailer park in Montauk where similarly sized homes list in the million-dollar range. The chic overhauls of this formerly working class community prove the underlying potential of the Westhampton Beach listing.
Located west of the Shinnecock canal, Westhampton is considered a “lower status” Hamptons locale than the tony communities farther east, like Sagaponack or East Hampton, but prices in the westerly village there have climbed competitively in recent years.
The trailer, located off of Montauk Highway, is a less than two-hour drive from Midtown Manhattan, and a seven-minute drive to nearby Rogers Beach.
The Westhampton Beach home last listed in April of 2024 for $300,000, but it only stayed on the market for two days before delisting.
