Straphanger, 21, stabbed multiple times with metal knuckle knife in random NYC subway attack: sources

A 21-year-old straphanger was stabbed multiple times with a metal knuckle knife in a random subway attack in the Bronx early Friday, police sources said.

The frenzy unfolded as the perp was going between carriages on a southbound 2 train at about 7 a.m., according to cops and sources.

Responding officers found the “conscious and alert” victim at the 219th Street station in the wake of the attack, the NYPD said.

He was suffering from multiple stab wounds to his right forearm and was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi in a stable condition, according to cops.

Police said the attack appeared to be unprovoked and that no words were exchanged between the pair in the lead-up.

Cops are still hunting for the suspect. No arrests have been made.
