The week in whoppers: Obama covers for Harvard antisemitism, TV host Dan Abrams distorts Supreme Court ruling vs. Trump and more

Diary of disturbing disinformation and dangerous delusions

This tweet:

We say: Sorry, Barack, but antisemitic harassment isn’t academic freedom.

Nor is Harvard taking “steps” to protect all students; it’s leaving Jews vulnerable. That’s precisely why Team Trump is withholding funds.

Yes, the school may have a right to practice bigotry, but taxpayers have no obligation to fund it.

This charge:

“It sure seems like [Trump is] openly defying a Supreme Court order.” — TV host Dan Abrams, Tuesday

We say: If President Trump sneezed, it might seem to Abrams like he’s “defying” the top court.

But Team Trump isn’t at all flouting the justices’ ruling that it must “facilitate” the release of alleged MS-13 gangbanger Kilmar Garcia from an El Salvador prison, as a lower court ordered.

In fact, the justices found part of the lower court’s order “may exceed” its authority, and asked the district judge to clarify how exactly Trump & Co. might “effectuate” Garcia’s release, given the executive branch’s right to conduct foreign policy.

This claim

“The presumption underlying these attacks on diversity, equity and inclusion programs [is] that somehow only white men are qualified to do many jobs.” — Christina Greer, New York Times, Friday

We say: Huh? Who presumes that?

Rather, critics (rightly) fault DEI because it promotes racism and sexism against whites, men, Asians, Jews and others, spreads misinformation about America and divides the nation along race and gender lines.

This stanning:

“You’re gonna see women especially that feel like, oh my God . . . [alleged killer Luigi Mangione] seems like this morally good man.” — Influencer and ex-reporter Taylor Lorenz, Sunday

We say: Lorenz couldn’t have offered a clearer (and more alarming) sign that the left has become so twisted that it sees Mangione as “a morally good man” . . . for allegedly assassinating an insurance exec.
