Blake Lively ‘tried to take power’ from Justin Baldoni, crew member claims

At least one “It Ends With Us” crew member is on Justin Baldoni’s side in his war with Blake Lively.

Storyboard artist Talia Spencer, who worked on the 2024 romance flick, opened up about her views on the legal battle between the movie’s leading lady and her co-star/director.

Lively, 37, sued Baldoni, 41, last year, accusing him of sexual harassment and emotional distress. In turn, Baldoni countersued his co-star, alleging defamation, civil extortion and more.

Addressing the drama on “60 Minutes Australia” on Sunday, April 13, Spencer spoke highly of Baldoni — and alleged that Lively “tried to take advantage” of his kindness while grasping for “power” over the film.

While acknowledging it’s “definitely a little bit sad” to see the success of “It Ends With Us” be tarnished by the allegations from both parties, Spencer ultimately said she hopes Lively and Baldoni “put their swords down and acknowledge their part in it and get along, but we don’t really live in that world, right?”

Calling Baldoni “one of the few directors I’ve worked for that was kind and respectful,” the storyboard artist told the Australian news program that she decided to join the creative team for the movie because he cared “a lot about the vision of what we’re trying to do here and [he was] not in it for fame.”

Spencer gave her take on what she believes might have gone down between the pair.

“I feel like maybe Blake smelled his kindness, mistook it for weakness and tried to take advantage and take power,” she said during the weekend segment of the program.

When the interviewer asked Spencer if she thought Lively “wrestled control of the film” away from Baldoni, she responded, “I think she tried to, yes.”

She also weighed in on whether Blake succeeded in gaining control of the blockbuster.

“Probably, yeah,” the creative said, adding, “I think there was a massive compromise in terms of Justin’s original vision for the film.”

Spencer concluded that she hopes “the truth comes out” and “that the innocent parties are proven innocent and we move on.”

The Post reached out to Lively and Baldoni’s legal teams for comment.

Lively made the first move in December, suing her director for alleged sexual harassment and claiming he launched a smear campaign against her.

He later countersued the actress and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, for $400 million, accusing the couple of defamation, civil extortion, false light invasion of privacy and more.

All parties have denied the other’s claims.

Lively and Baldoni’s trial is scheduled for March 2026.

The actress doesn’t appear to be letting the legal drama get her down, as she’s been spotted out and about promoting her upcoming film, “Another Simple Favor,” which is the sequel to her 2018 movie with Anna Kendrick.

Lively was photographed greeting fans and signing autographs in London this week. She seemed in good spirits while across the pond promoting her latest project.

The star and Kendrick were also on the black carpet promoting the film, which hits theaters on May 1.
