Harvey Weinstein reacts to Adrien Brody mentioning his children in 2025 Oscars speech

Convicted rapist and former film mogul Harvey Weinstein has shared his reaction to his and ex-wife Georgina Chapman’s children being referenced in Adrien Brody’s lengthy 2025 Oscars acceptance speech.

Brody, 51, took to the stage at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday night to accept the Best Actor award — his second overall — for his leading role in “The Brutalist.”

After being handed the award by actor Cillian Murphy, Brody went on a six-minute spiel during which he shouted out Weinstein and Chapman’s two children, daughter India, 14, and son Dashiell, 11.

“I share this with my amazing partner, Georgina,” he said, “who has not only reinvigorated my own self-worth, but my sense of value and my values and her beautiful children, Dash and India.”

Brody then revealed the nickname India and Dashiell call him: “‘It’s been a roller coaster, but thank you for accepting me into your life, and Popsy’s coming home a winner.”

Following Brody’s big win, Weinstein — who is serving a lengthy prison sentence at Rikers Island — gave his take on the actor’s speech.

“Harvey is happy for Georgina and grateful that his kids are being loved and cared for as they deserve to be,” Weinstein’s rep told The Post in a statement.

Brody and Chapman’s romance was first confirmed in February 2020. They made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival.

The Marchesa founder, 48, previously wed Weinstein, 72, in 2007 and they went on to welcome two children together.

She split from the disgraced film honcho in 2017 after he was accused of rape and sexual assault by multiple women. Their divorce was finalized in July 2021.

Sunday night’s star-studded ceremony saw Brody break the world record for the longest acceptance speech in Oscars history — rivaling his 3½-hour movie.

During his six-minute speech, Brody — who beat Timothée Chalamet, Colman Domingo, Sebastian Stan and Ralph Fiennes in the Best Actor category — said that winning his second Oscar is “beyond the pinnacle of a career” and hopes it proves he’s “worthy of such meaningful, important and relevant roles.”

“No matter where you are in your career and what you’ve accomplished, it can all go away,” he said. “And I think what makes this night most special is the awareness of that and the gratitude that I have to still do the work that I love.”

After the actor’s name was announced as the winner, he immediately embraced Chapman. After hugging some of his co-stars and director Brady Corbet, he headed to the stage to give his speech.

In the heat of the moment, however, Brody spat gum out of his mouth and threw it at Chapman before he got onstage to accept his statuette.
